이 약은 다른 비스테로이드 소염제에 불응성이거나 효과가 불충분한 다음의 경우에만 투여한다.1. 류마티스 관절염, 골관절염, 강직성척추염
용법 / 용량
(경구)
하루 최대 권장용량은 피록시캄으로서 20 mg이며, 이상반응의 발생위험을 줄이기 위해 최소 유효용량으로 최단 기간동안 사용해야 한다.
이 약 투여 후 14일 내에 치료효과와 내약성(tolerability)이 검토되어야 하며, 만약 지속적인 치료가 필요하다고 판단되는 경우에는 보다 빈번한 검토가 이루어져야 한다.
(주사)
성인 : 피록시캄으로서 1회 20 mg 1일 1회 근육주사한다.
하루 최대 권장용량은 피록시캄으로서 20 mg이며, 이상반응의 발생위험을 줄이기 위해 최소 유효용량으로 최단 기간동안 사용해야 한다.
이 약 투여 후 14일 내에 치료효과와 내약성(tolerability)이 검토되어야 하며, 만약 지속적인 치료가 필요하다고 판단되는 경우에는 보다 빈번한 검토가 이루어져야 한다.
이 약의 경구제나 좌제를 병용 투여할 수 있으나, 두 경로의 투여총량이 1일 최대 권장용량을 초과해서는 안된다.
