양성전립샘비대증 :
- 비후된 전립샘의 퇴행 및 요류 개선
- 급성 요폐의 발생빈도 감소
- 전립샘 경요도 절제술(Transurethral Resection of the Prostate) 및 전립샘 절제수술 등을 포함한 수술의 필요성 감소
용법 / 용량
피나스테리드로서 1일 1회 5 mg을 식사와 관계없이 경구투여한다.
- 신부전 환자 : 약물동력학적으로 볼 때 이 약의 투여 시 어떤 변화도 없었으므로 여러 종류의 신부전 환자(크레아티닌청소율 : 9.0 mL/min)에게 용량 조절할 필요가 없다.
- 고령자 : 70세 이상 고령자에게 있어 이 약의 배설이 약간 감소되기는 하나 용량을 조절할 필요는 없다.

- 남성에서 성기능 이상증상이 나타날 경우에는 전문가와 상의하세요.
- 이 약의 투여기간 및 투여 중지 후 최소 1개월까지는 헌혈하지 마세요.
